Rightwards Hand

Rightwards Hand at U+1FAF1 is an emoji showing a hand extended toward the right, usually meaning a pointing or reaching hand in that direction. It belongs to the Symbols and Pictographs Extended-A block and the People & Gestures emoji category, where it is used as a human gesture rather than as a letter or punctuation mark. Its main use is in messaging and social media to direct attention to something on the right side of a line, image caption, profile bio, or sequence of emojis. People use it like a visual cue for “over there,” “next,” “look at this,” or “handing this to you,” especially when arranging several items in a row. It is also commonly paired with the leftwards hand emoji to form handshake-like or framing combinations, sometimes with skin-tone modifiers to represent different people. In emoji art and casual posts, it can act as one half of a gesture, a divider, or a way to indicate passing, offering, or presenting something. Support can vary on older devices because this emoji was added relatively recently; when unsupported, it may appear as a missing-character box or an unrecognized symbol.
