Drooling Face

The Drooling Face at U+1F924 is an emoji that shows craving, intense desire, or sleepy slack-jawed bliss. It sits in the Emoticons block and is usually depicted with a relaxed face and saliva at the mouth, so its meaning depends strongly on whether the surrounding message is about food, attraction, or exhaustion. Its most common use is appetite and food enthusiasm. In texts, reviews, menus, recipe posts, and delivery-order chats, it can mean something looks delicious: “garlic noodles and crispy chicken 🤤” reads as mouth-watering praise rather than literal drooling. It is also used for attraction, luxury, and wanting something badly. People add it to comments about a crush, a stylish outfit, a new phone, a dream car, sneakers, travel photos, or gaming loot to say “I want that” or “that looks irresistible.” In this sense it can be playful, flirtatious, or mildly exaggerated, so tone and relationship matter. A smaller but common use is sleepy or dazed contentment, especially after a nap, massage, workout, or long day. Compared with heart-eyes or hungry-face emojis, Drooling Face feels more physical and uncontrolled, which makes it funny but sometimes too suggestive for formal or sensitive conversations.
